1. Who we are
Lumax is operated by an independent developer based in the United States. This policy applies to lumaxspace.com, Lumax Clip, and support communications sent to Lumax.
2. Lumax Clip
Lumax Clip is a local-first macOS clipboard manager. The current version has no account system, advertising, in-app analytics, cloud sync, or mechanism that uploads clipboard content to Lumax or third parties.
To provide its features, Lumax Clip processes and stores the following information locally on your Mac:
- Clipboard text and URLs; PNG/TIFF images; and supported audio data placed on the clipboard.
- Local file URLs and paths. Lumax Clip stores the file reference, not the referenced file’s contents.
- Source application name and bundle identifier.
- Capture and reuse times, content type, preview and search text, content hash, size, copy count, favourite status, and local activity history.
- Preferences such as appearance, language, shortcuts, window or panel state, and launch-at-login choice.
3. Local storage, retention, and deletion
Clipboard history is stored in a local SQLite database inside the app’s sandbox. Lumax Clip does not claim that this database is encrypted at the application level.
The default retention target is 1,000 unique entries. When that target is exceeded, the oldest non-favourite entries are removed. Favourite entries are protected from automatic cleanup, so the total may exceed 1,000.
You can pause recording, delete individual or selected entries, or clear all clipboard history in the app. Clearing history removes records from the local database and attempts to remove associated local payloads. It does not guarantee forensic erasure from storage media or operating-system backups.
Clipboard content can contain sensitive information. Review what you copy, pause recording when appropriate, and remove records you do not want retained.
4. Website data
lumaxspace.com is a static website hosted through Cloudflare. The site has no accounts, contact form, or advertising, and does not use cookies.
Cloudflare may process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, and security logs. Lumax may use privacy-friendly Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and performance without cookies or cross-site tracking.
5. Support emails
If you email Lumax, we receive your email address, message, attachments, and standard email metadata. We use this information only to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, and meet applicable obligations.
Support correspondence may be retained for up to 12 months after resolution or the last substantive contact, then deleted unless a longer period is required for an active security matter, dispute, or legal obligation. Please do not send passwords, full clipboard databases, or unrelated sensitive content.
6. Sharing and third parties
Lumax does not sell or rent personal information and does not use it for advertising. Limited information may be processed by:
- Cloudflare, for website hosting, security, and optional aggregate analytics.
- Lumax’s email provider, to deliver support correspondence.
- Apple, for App Store accounts, downloads, transactions, and platform diagnostics under Apple’s own policies.
- GRDB and KeyboardShortcuts, open-source libraries used locally for database and shortcut functionality. They do not receive clipboard content from Lumax Clip.
7. Your choices and rights
Because Lumax Clip’s history remains on your Mac and is not available to Lumax, you control it through the app’s pause and deletion tools.
For website or support information held by Lumax, you may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing privacy@lumaxspace.com. Rights may vary by location, and Lumax will honour applicable legal requirements.
8. Security, international processing, and children
Lumax uses reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small independent service, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Website and support data may be processed in the United States or other locations used by service providers.
Lumax Clip and this website are not directed to children under 13, and Lumax does not knowingly request personal information from children.
9. Changes and contact
This policy may change as Lumax Clip or the website evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date.
